About Us

Harare Theological College (HTC) exists first and foremost to glorify God and promote the gospel of Jesus Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit. Because the church is central to what God is accomplishing in the world, we at HTC want to strengthen the church by offering programs designed to train pastors, evangelists, Christian workers and lay leaders for ministry whether in Zimbabwe or in other nations.

At HTC, we have chosen to configure our course offerings in such a manner that those who are already in ministry and those who are engaged in other employment may still be able to gain knowledge and critical skills for effective ministry. This means that we offer most of our courses in the evenings when people have the time to attend lectures. We are an intentionally non-residential college because we want all of our students to live and continue in ministry among the people of their community while studying.

At HTC, we offer various programs all the way up to degree level. For students who are busy and would like to experience theological education before committing full-time, we also offer Foundational Certificate modules which can be completed within just one year.

You will see that we have excellent facilities for our students including a 20,000+ volume library, a modern computer lab, and comfortable classrooms equipped with multimedia teaching aids. We also have a diverse, multi-racial, multi-cultural, evangelical faculty who have many years of teaching and ministry experience.

HTC chose to locate itself not far from the city centre so as to be accessible to commuting students throughout the greater Harare metropolitan area. Come and pay us a visit!
